Abstract

Bioethics is the study of ethical issues in biology and other life sciences, and in healthcare and medicine. In human genome research, bioethics provides a framework for discussion of ethical, legal and social issues, notably genetic privacy, genetic discrimination, and gene therapy (somatic and germline).
