In the article entitled “Identifying the Energy Gap: Magnitude and Determinants of 5-Year Weight Gain in Midage Women,” by Wendy J. Brown, Lauren Williams, Jessica H. Ford, Kylie Ball, and Annette J. Dobson, published in the August 2005 issue (Obes Res. 2005;13:1431–1441), the unit of measurement for physical activity was incorrectly listed as MET/min. The correct unit of measurement is MET · min. Walking for 30 minutes a day would use 120 MET · min or 140 kcal per day for the average 71 kg women in this study, not 120 MET/min or 140 kcal/d as printed.
