Successful Thalidomide Treatment of Severe Infantile Behçet Disease

Abstract: We describe an 11-month-old child with giant ulcers of the buccal mucosa, necrosis of the tongue, abdominal tenderness, and severe diarrhea due to Behçet disease. Treatment with thalidomide resulted in prompt recovery of the mucocutaneous lesions and gastrointestinal manifestations.
