    1. Ajantha Subramanian is Assistant Professor of Social Anthropology and Social Studies at Harvard. She received her PhD in Cultural Anthropology from Duke University in 2000. Since then, she has been a postdoctoral fellow with the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill's Programme in Creating the Transnational South (2000–01); a visiting professor with Cornell University's Department of Anthropology (2001–02); and a fellow at Yale University's Programme in Agrarian Studies (2002).
