Dear friends, the 2nd issue of this year is here. While the absence of Printed versions may be disappointing to many (and I share the same with you), our readership and citations continue to climb.
I acknowledge the efforts of the APLAR executive, the publisher, outgoing and the current editorial team for relentless effort and support in enriching the journal. It is my pleasure to announce that recently our impact factor has doubled. Full credit goes to all of you for this feat.
We are continuously flooded with manuscripts of high quality and appreciate your understanding for delays in publishing accepted articles in this transition period. From 2014, we are hoping to increase from 6 to 8 issues a year.
I would like to remind you of my letter in the preceding issue highlighting the proposed new features. You are most welcome to write brief comments on recent top publications in Rheumatology from any journal, grand round case conference, write a hypothesis, news and views from APLAR region, write about a legendary patient and post graduate quiz, apart from original articles and reviews.
Looking forward to your contributions under the new categories.
