Submissions bode well for 2014

Authors

The editorial team wishes you, all the readers and authors of Acta Physiologica, a wonderful year 2014. We hope that this year will be as successful for Acta Physiologica as the past 3 years have been.

Submissions have continuously risen over the last years. 2011 was a record year followed by 2012 that broke the record again, and, finally in 2013, submissions peaked once more. After our Impact Factor of 4.4 was announced, submissions took off. During the second half of 2013, we received almost twice as many manuscripts as we did during the first half of that year.

Good news for the authors is that we will handle all these manuscripts at no cost for the authors. Acta Physiologica will neither charge submission fees, nor page or figure charges.

To provide you with the first decision on your manuscript within 14 days, we have invited three new associate editors. They will cover the field of vascular physiology, inflammation and integrative neurophysiology.

We thank the authors and readers of Acta Physiologica for making our Journal top-notch in physiology: not only in terms of the Impact Factor, but also with regard to submission numbers.
