Professor Fennerty is an Editor of Journal Watch Gastroenterology. He is the Past-President of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and is a past member of Medco's National Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. If an Editor has a potential conflict of interest with the contents of a manuscript, usually that manuscript will be transferred to another Editor. Occasionally, because of the specialist nature of some manuscripts and limited experience of the other Editors, the manuscript may remain under the supervision of the original specialist Editor, who will confer with other Editors before making a decision.
