The following error appeared in the article entitled ‘Assessment and characterization of purinergic contractions and relaxations in the rat urinary bladder’ published in Basic & Clinical Pharmacology & Toxicology 2010;107:603–613.
In this article (p. 604), the substance ARL 67156 is referred to as an ‘ecto-nucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase (sometimes referred to as ectonucleotidase inhibitor)’. This should of course be ‘ecto-nucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase (sometimes referred to as ectonucleotidase) inhibitor’. Also, the word ‘inhibitor’ is unfortunately missing throughout the article, and ARL 67156 is described as an ‘ecto-nucleoside triphosphate diphosphohydrolase’.
This mishap affects neither the result of the study nor the interpretation of the data, as both the authors and the reviewers have written and assessed the manuscript treating ARL 67156 as an inhibitor.
On behalf of the authors, we apologize for this error.
