Does salt exacerbate multiple sclerosis?

Two reports published in Nature provided provocative data implicating “salt” as an important exacerbating factor in the development of autoimmune diseases. High-salt conditions enhanced the differentiation of pathogenic interleukin-17-producing helper T cells and accelerated the pathology of experimental autoimmune encephalomyelitis mice.
