The average abundance/percent cover describes the average number of individual or cover which was observed across all mesocosms for a species. The presence of Vaccinium oxycoccos L., Carex disperma Dewey, Sphagnum spp., Gaultheria hispidula (L.) Muhl. ex Bigelow, and Campylium stellatum var. stellatum (Hedw.) were all recorded in terms of percent cover. All remaining species were monitored by changes in abundance.
