Abstract

A decade ago this journal reported that support for the death penalty in the United States had begun to wane. This follow-up confirms the continuation of that trend and brings the earlier article up to date. Concern about executing the innocent and racial disparity persists amid evidence that the public is in a post-trust era where government decisions are highly suspect.
