The International Educational Course, Pharmacological Treatment of Epilepsy, will take place at the Princess Hotel, Eilat, Israel, September 18–25, 2005. The Course program is designed for junior scientists (age 45 years and younger). Suitable candidates accepted in the course will receive a bursary toward the cost of their attendance. The Course will include sessions on the Pharmacology of AEDs, Pharmacokinetics and TDM, Drug Interactions, Assessing Efficacy and Safety, Optimizing Medical Management, as well as several tutorial sessions, training workshops, and case studies and guided problem-solving exercises. The Teaching Course “Modern Trends in Epilepsy” will be held in co-operation with EUREPA and the ILAE during the 38th International Danube Symposium for Neurological Sciences and Continuing Education at the Hotel Voronez in Brno, Czech Republic in April 2006. The two-day Teaching Course will be held April 5–6. The Danube Symposium runs from 6–8. Travel grants supported by the ILAE will be provided to enable young neurologists from Eastern and South-East European countries to participate in the Teaching Course and Danube Symposium.
