Abstract

Modern and fossil Atlanto-Mediterranean Gobius spp., are distinguished from the derived Ponto-Caspian genera Neogobius and Proterorhinus by 11 v. geqslant R: gt-or-equal, slanted 12 precaudal and 17 v. geqslant R: gt-or-equal, slanted 19 caudal vertebrae.
