A large Scottish fox.

SUMMARY

The measurements of a large specimen of the hill-fox from Scotland are recorded, and compared with the measurements previously recorded from similar animals. The conclusion reached by Tetley (1941); that such foxes are indistinguishable from the subspecies Vulpes v. vulpes, the Scandinavian fox, and are distinct from the generally distributed race found in Britain, V. v. crucigera, is supported.
