SUMMARY

The luteinized unruptured follicle syndrome which has been observed in women at laparoscopy has been implicated as a contributory factor to female infertility. In this study estimation of progesterone indices during the luteal phase and ovarian ultrasonography throughout the cycle have shown a definite association between retained luteal phase cysts and the deficient luteal phase.
