Appendix S1. Estimation accuracy of fish positions in the stream channels. Accuracy was checked by estimating the position of a randomly placed marker in the channel and then measuring the distance between the estimated location and the actual location of the marker. This was repeated 20 times using different randomly selected locations throughout the channel.
