Abstract

ABSTRACT. Isolated Malpighian tubules of Zonocerus variegatus excreted cardiac glycosides more efficiently than isolated tubule preparations from Locusta migratoria. A higher rate of excretion of ouabain by isolated tubules was induced in adult Zonocerus given this toxin in their diet.
