Table S1. Quantitative chemical analysis of xenotime crystals from the Mount Barren Group was conducted using the wavelength-dispersive spectrometer (see METHODS). The suite of elements that were analysed are Si, P, Ca, Fe, Y, Zr, REE, Pb, Th and U. Average analyses for xenotime from each of the four age groups- ?1693 Ma, ?1645 Ma, ?1578 Ma and ?1481 Ma- are shown in Table S1. Average analyses for each age population are also included. Some of the chemical data, namely the REE and U, are used in Figs 10-12.
