Neither fluoxetine, imipramine, or valproic acid affected VGLUT 1 or 2 mRNA expression. (b) VGLUT mRNA expression in the hippocampus and temporal cortex of rats treated with haloperidol and clozapine. Data are presented as the mean ± SEM optical density. The error bars indicate SEM. Rats received daily subcutaneous injection of haloperidol (2 mg/kg/day), clozapine (20 mg/kg/day), or acidified DMSO for 28 consecutive days.
