A case is reported of self-induced hrematuria in a young woman. The source of the hrematuria defied diagnosis over a period of four months ' hospitalization and, on the evidence, at intervals over the previous two years. The fact finally emerged that the patient from time to time obtained blood from an antecubital vein, then injected it &to her bladder by catheter.
