Fig. S1. Western blot densitometry of individual proteins in control and experimental Monodelphis plasma. Western blots of individual plasma proteins are shown above each graph. Densitometry plots compare intensity of protein bands in experimental animals to age-matched controls (expressed as 1), 6 and 24 hours after injection of adult plasma or bovine fetuin in postnatal Monodelphis. Note the largest increase was in younger animals injected with adult plasma, while α-fetoprotein (AFP) did not change. Injecting bovine fetuin did not alter endogenous proteins except for small increases in hemopexin. 1746 × 2327mm (72 × 72 DPI).

Fig. S2. Western blot densitometry of individual proteins in control and experimental Monodelphis CSF. Western blots of individual plasma protein in CSF are shown above each graph. Densitometry plots compare intensity of protein bands in experimental animals to age-matched controls (expressed as 1), 6 and 24 hours after injection of adult plasma or bovine fetuin in postnatal Monodelphis. There were marked increases in albumin and hemopexin, especially in P9 animals injected with adult plasma and of hemopexin in CSF of P110 animals following injection of bovine fetuin. Abbreviation: AFP, α-fetoprotein. 1746 × 2327mm (72 × 72 DPI).
