Figure S1eIF4E Northern blot using pvr12-pepper eIF4E probe. The blot shows elevated levels of pepper eIF4E RNA in transgenic pvr12 lines, not in non-transgenic samples (NT) or in GUS transgenic lines. Total RNA was isolated from leaf tissue and tested for eIF4E accumulation using radiolabeled pepper cDNA as a probe. pvr12 samples were isolated from plants of lines resistant to all strains of PVY screened. Samples left to right: NT (non-transgenic), GUS transgenic, pvr12 lines 1-15.
