    • Owen McIntyre teaches a number of undergraduate and postgraduate courses on environmental law at University College Cork (UCC), and leads a growing research group at UCC, involved with a range of issues in domestic, comparative, European and international environmental and natural resources law. He lectured in the UK between 1991 and 1998, latterly at the University of Manchester, and worked as Parliamentary and Law Reform Officer of the Law Society of Ireland from 1998 to 2000. He has published extensively in all areas of environmental law and serves on the editorial boards of a number of Irish and international journals. He is currently coordinating two major research projects on environmental law, funded by the Irish Higher Education Authority, and has recently completed research projects on behalf of the Irish Heritage Council and the Department of Environment, Heritage and Local Government. In addition, he has acted as a consultant on environmental policy making and legislative drafting in Central and Eastern Europe, Russia and Central Asia.
