From Cultural Regeneration to Discursive Governance: Constructing the Flagship of the ‘Museumsquartier Vienna’ as a Plural Symbol of Change
This article is based on parts of the doctoral research conducted by the author at the European University Institute Florence. Parts of the publication work have been financed by a grant of the City of Vienna (MA7). Earlier versions were presented in parts at the ECPR joint sessions Turin 2002, the Young Researchers Network at the University of Venice, the EURA conference Budapest 2003, the EuroConference ‘European Cities in Transition’ at Bauhaus University Weimar 2003. I am deeply grateful to my thesis supervisor Michael Keating and to two anonymous referees for their helpful comments and advice.
