Maxilla-ethmoid, maxilla-mandible, autopalatine-maxilla, pterygoid-lateral ethmoid and pterygoid-prevomer ligaments are present only on the blind side. The asymmetrical nature and disposition of ligaments enable the jaws of the blind side to feed effectively.
