Summary

Some morphological and anatomical aspects of the Devon and Cornwall form of Oxalis latifolia are presented, together with an account of the method by which vegetative propagation is achieved. Although distribution by seed does not appear to play a large part in disseminating the species in this country, a few capsules and seeds are recorded as having occurred in Exeter, the seeds being non-viable. The behaviour and possible functions of the fleshy roots which develop are discussed.
