THE GROWTH OF PEA LEAVES IN RELATION TO INTERNODE GROWTH AS AFFECTED BY GIBBERELLIC ACID AND B-9

Authors

Summary

The effects of gibherellic acid (GA) and N-dimethylaminosuccinamic acid (B-9) on leaf growth in several pea cultivars have heen investigated. The relationships hetween the growth of a leaf and its suhtending internode were examined. A general inverse relationship hetween growth of the two organs was found in untreated and GA-treated plants, and in B-9-treated plants grown at low light intensities. At high light intensities B-9 was inhihitory to hoth leaf and internode growth.
