ROUTINE PRODUCTION OF AXENIC VESICULAR-ARBUSCULAR MYCORRHIZAS

Authors

Summary

A compact autoclavable hydroponic culture system is described for the production of axenic vesicular-arbuscular mycorrhizas formed between Trifolium parviflorum and Glomus caledonius. Liquid is circulated by means of a low pressure air supply and sterility is maintained by glass fibre air-filters. Provision is made for sampling of the nutrient solution for analysis and sterility tests.
