Summary
Prostaglandin E2 was infused in 139 women recommended for therapeutic trmination of pregnancy. Abortion occurred in 130 women and was complete in 105. Uterine activity was measured in 67 patients before, during and after prostagiandin infusion. In selected cases haematological, biochemical, hormonal and renal function studies were performed. No serious adverse effects were noted.
