The phenomenon of transperitoneal migration of sperm has been described and considered in the literature but can only be proven under a unique set of circumstances. The possibility of an ectopic pregnancy in an unreversed tubal remnant after a reversal of sterilisation in the contralateral tube has been postulated1 but never reported. The aim of this report is to describe such an occurrence with a resultant ectopic pregnancy being diagnosed in a noncontiguous tubal remnant.
