Joseph White is the Luxenberg Family Professor of Public Policy at Case Western Reserve University, where he also chairs the Department of Political Science and directs the Center for Policy Studies. Previously, he was an associate professor of health systems management at Tulane University and a senior fellow in governmental studies at the Brookings Institution. His most recent book is False Alarm: Why the Greatest Threat to Social Security and Medicare Is the Campaign to “Save” Them (Johns Hopkins University Press, 2003).
