James L. Perry is Distinguished Professor in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at Indiana University–Bloomington and the Department of Public Administration at Yonsei University. His research focuses on motivation, community and national service, and government reform. He is the recipient of the 2008 Dwight Waldo Award and coeditor of Motivation in Public Management: The Call of Public Service (Oxford University Press, 2008).
