Working on his dissertation (“Low Power Radio and the FCC: Social Movements in a Globalized Media Landscape”) at UNC Chapel Hill School of Journalism and Mass Comm. He received his M.A. from the University of Oregon in 1998 and B.A. from Harvard (Anthropology) in 1986. His research interests include the media, the environment, and cultural studies.
