Abstract

In response to the challenges posited by Eileen P. Anderson-Fye and Jerry Floersch in their article on college student mental health, a psychologist and counseling center director reflects on the implications for university counseling and psychological service centers. Among other things, issues related to high-risk students, the developmental barriers to help-seeking behavior, the increasing utilization of psychotropic medications, and the broadening mandate of campus mental health providers are addressed. Finally, interdisciplinary collaboration in service to university students is encouraged.
