Kimberley V. Forthofer, MSN, ARNP, FNP-C, Palouse Medical, P.S., 825 SE Bishop Blvd., Suite 200, Pullman, WA 99163.

In this clinical review, evidence is presented supporting the safety and acceptability of the intrauterine device in young, nulliparous women and highlighting factors associated with lack of intrauterine device use in the United States.
