Errata

This article corrects:

  1. Patterns and controls of above-ground net primary production in meadows of Patagonia. A remote sensing approach Volume 23, Issue 1, 114–126, Article first published online: 1 August 2011

In Irisarri et al. (2012), The inter-annual CV of figure 7 was wrongly estimated for both Knapp and Smith (2001) and Bai et al. (2008). This mistake changed the interpretation of it in the Discussion section. The corrected figure and associated paragraph are given here. We would like to thank Dr. Alan Knapp for calling our attention to this error.

The relationship between the interannual variation of ANPP and either the mean annual ANPP or the interannual variability of rainfall across sites is a key issue (Knapp & Smith 2001). The interannual relative variation of ANPP decreases exponentially with mean ANPP across different biomes (Knapp & Smith 2001), and grasslands and steppes of Mongolia (Bai et al. 2008). Meadows of Patagonia showed a similar pattern of variation, but with a slightly higher relative interannual variation than systems of the northern hemisphere (Knapp & Smith 2001 and our data, Fig. 7)
