Abstract

The 1988 Olympics were followed by anti-doping measures. Performances then diminished. Ray Stefani examines the rate of improvement in various events to see whether clean athletes can overcome the barriers set by suspect records of the past. He also predicts the number of medals that Britain will win in 2012.
