RM GIBSON PRIZE
The RM Gibson Prize, named after Dr Dick Gibson – a pioneer of geriatrics in Australia – is awarded by the Society to the best presentation (oral or poster) by an advanced trainee at the ASM. The data presented should have been attained by the trainee personally. Members may also make presentations in the first year after award of the FRACP, for work done as trainees.
ANZSGM CAREER INVESTIGATOR'S AWARD IN GERIATRIC MEDICINE
This prize, sponsored by the ANZSGM, is awarded for the best presentation (oral or poster) presented to a member of the Society who has obtained the FRACP within the previous 5 years. It is intended to encourage continuing research by geriatricians after completion of their training.
