The paper by Mahalingam et al. [1] contains the following errors. On page 3731–3732, the below sentence should be deleted:

We found that the results of the western blot were in accordance with our array data, which also depicted significant up-regulation of caspase 3 mRNA levels in IMR90 WThTERT MT-Ter-47A and -AU5 cells versus IMR90 MT-hTer- 47A and -AU5 cells (Table S1A,C).

On page 3732, the below sentence:

PARP1, another gene involved in apoptosis, was also up-regulated in IMR90 WThTERT cells transduced with MT-hTer-47A and -AU5 (Table S1C). These data were further substantiated by the results of the semiquantitative RT-PCR, which showed a modest two-fold up-regulation of the PARP1 gene in IMR90 WThTERT cells transduced with MT-hTers compared to IMR90 cells with equivalent treatment (Fig. 8A).

should read:

PARP1, another gene involved in apoptosis, also showed a modest up-regulation in IMR90 WThTERT cells transduced with MT-hTers compared to IMR90 cells with equivalent treatments following semiquantitative RT-PCR (Fig. 8A).

The authors wish to apologize for these errors.
