Rapidly rising demand for light, low sulphur refined products such as gasoline and diesel is causing refiners to take an increasing interest in condensate. Condensate is principally a by-product of natural gas production and has long been seen as an awkward product to extract and market. It has to be separated from the gas as well as being sold and marketed separately. It sometimes requires specialist storage and handling in order to maintain it in a liquid state.
