Abstract
A ground-water management model with an economic objective has been developed using the numerically simulated unit response functions representing the physical behavior of the system. A hierarchical approach with multilevel decomposition of the problem has been adopted to arrive at the solution for a large-scale physical system. The developed model was successfully applied and tested for the multiaquifer system underlying the City of Bangkok.
