CERCI©: a computer system for the demographic and genetic analysis of captive invertebrates, fish and other populations of colony animals

Existing computer systems for analysing demographic and genetic data have been designed primarily for individually identifiable animals and are largely applicable to the higher vertebrates. The particular difficulties in recording data for invertebrates, fishes, amphibians and reptiles are not easily addressed. CERCI© has been developed, using captive populations of Partula spp snails as subjects, to analyse the quantity and complexity of data which arise from colony species.
