The photonic emissions (in pseudocolour) have been superimposed to the bright field image. The lower panel shows changes of [Ca2+]M in cells A and B. Images were taken every 10 s. Pseudocolour code: blue, green, yellow and red represent 1, 2, 3 and 4 photons per 10 s respectively.
