The radiological features of aspergillosis of the nasal cavity and frontal sinuses in the dog

The films of 45 cases of canine nasal aspergillosis were reviewed. The intra-oral dorso-ventral view of the nasal cavity and rostro-caudal view of the frontal sinuses were found to be most informative. The main radiological features of aspergillosis were turbinate loss with punctate lucencies of the supporting bones, increased radiolucency rostrally and a mixed density pattern caudally on the intra-oral view. On the rostro-caudal view, frontal sinus opacity, thickening and mottling of the frontal bone were found.
