Welcome to the Translational Science 2012 Meeting, the joint annual meeting of ACRT, SCTS, and AFMR. This meeting allows industry professionals to share their research with the clinical and translational science community and focuses on improving health through research and training. The abstracts that follow will showcase the latest developments in biomedical research and highlight collaboration across disciplines.

This book contains abstracts highlighting research from the KL2, K12, and K30 postdoctoral scholars as well as abstracts from other research professionals in the industry. Abstracts include information on best practices, clinical epidemiology, clinical trials, ethics, health services research, methodology, outcomes research, resources, and translational basic to clinical science. The purpose of this meeting's abstract and poster presentations is to showcase the trainees, support the trainee's career development, and facilitate networking and collaboration amongst trainees and research professionals alike. As with all proprietary works, this material is not to be shared or reproduced without the explicit written permission of the authors.

Following is a quick schedule at a glance for the meeting, followed by the abstracts that will be presented during the poster sessions at the meeting.
