Vol. 6, Issue 2, 87–109, Version of Record online: 4 DEC 2009
The editors wish to draw attention to a correction noted by Robert DeMott relating to Mr. Gage's article in the Fall 2009 issue of Steinbeck Review, titled “Steinbeck Knew My Dad Better Than I Did,” pp. 87–109.
DeMott writes: “I found Gage's piece quite fascinating in its speculativeness, though his comment on page 101 that the second man is Carnegie, is not quite right. In the EE manuscript at the University of Texas, Steinbeck identifies the three as John D. Rockefeller, William Randolph Hearst, and Franklin Delano Roosevelt.”
