Fig. S1. Transmission electron microscope image of the immunogold localization of OmcZ in whole-cell mounts of planktonic cells of Geobacter sulfurreducens strain DL-1. Planktonic cells grown with acetate as the electron donor and fumarate as the electron acceptor were directly placed on copper grids. The cells were immunogold-labelled in the same manner with the biofilms described in figure legend of Fig. 1.
