Table 2. in the paper cited below,[1] published in the November/December issue of JVIM, contains two errors. In the first column, “Test: 1. VHS at CHF, Interval 1” should be “Test: 2. VHS at CHF, Interval 1,” and “Test: 4. Δ VHS/month at CHF, Interval 1” should be “Test: 5. Δ VHS/month at CHF, Interval 1.” The correct table is reproduced in full below.

  1. VHS, vertebral heart scale; LR, likelihood ratio; CI, confidence interval. LR+ and LR− are applied only to dichotomized data. The positive and negative numbers were used in a 2 × 2 (dichotomized) and 2 × 3 (interval) matrix to calculate LRs. The precision of the LRs varies according to the magnitude because the scale is logarithmic.
