Abstract

ABSTRACT  This article is a report of a three-year project to develop subject area certification examinations in foreign languages for the state of Florida. The project was carried out by foreign language educators at each stage of implementation: research, writing, validation, pilot-testing, editing, and scoring. This teacher-directed project of certification test development can serve as a model to other states engaged in similar efforts.
