Abstract

ABSTRACT  Relatively few articles have examined the role of vocabulary in communicative approaches to foreign-language teaching. In this article, we discuss the selection and presentation of vocabulary in current teaching materials and suggest alternative strategies that more closely reflect the goals of communicative curricula.
